An interesting freebie I found out about on one of my Forums:
Through January 17th, 2011, you can select from 130 titles from Kaplan for FREE!!! for your Nook, Kindle, iPad, or Sony eReader.
Titles include: SAT, ACT, AP Test, GRE, and MCAT prep guides, Cleveland Clinic Medical Guides, getting into Law, Medical, and Nursing Schools guides, Investing guides, and books with titles like "Math for Moms and Dads." Quite a variety, though they do seem to be geared toward adult reading...But, hey, Mom needs time to learn, too!! Here's a complete list.
The download process seems simple. You can skip the optional registry process (and avoid emails from Kaplan, I think) by NOT entering in the $100 giveaway. Simply click on the words "Click here to access your free ebooks" at the top of THIS page.
Even if you don't own one of those lovely and handy book reading devices, I hear you can download the software for the Kindle to your PC and have access to the ebooks on your computer. I will have to figure out how to do that and go do some virtual FREE!! "shopping" soon...Hey, that was easy. I found the "Kindle for the PC" download HERE!!
