Welcome & Disclosure Policy

Welcome to Blessing Farm!!
Come on it, make yourself comfortable in one of my many rocking chairs, enjoy a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea, and stay a while...

(Me, working on the barn at Blessing Farm. Really...I am working.)

I am a Christian, a Navy Warrant Officer's wife, and a veteran homeschooling mom of six. I have been homeschooling for ten years, and my husband and I have successfully graduated one student, with five more to go (so far!). We live on a fifteen acre hobby farm in Virginia with chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, horses, and a pony (who just had a baby!).

We believe that the Lord loves us and wants to bless us, and that we are to be a blessing to others. We pray that we will be able to use our home, Blessing Farm, and ourselves, to share the Lord's blessings in whatever ways He guides us.

At Blessing Farm, we are growing kids, growing food, growing animals, growing memories, growing in knowledge, growing in faith, and overflowing with love. We are truly blessed.

I am a Believer, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a neighbor, a teacher, a lifelong learner, an avid reader, a creative scrapbooker, an aspiring writer, an enthusiastic shutterbug, a wanna-be baker and chef, an old quilt-fixer, a thrift and antique store deal finder, a long time horse-lover, a classical music and art appreciator, a newbie gardener, and a hobby-farmer-in-training.

Our homeschooling style is eclectic, with a distinct Charlotte Mason flavor to our days. Our kids especially enjoy art and nature studies. I am building a site called homeschool-for-free, on which I am collecting the best of the free Internet resources we come across. Please stop by for a visit!

I love chatting with old friends and making new ones. If you would like to contact me, you may do so at homeschool4free@aol.com .

And now for the Disclosure Policy

Even though I may receive compensation for my posts, I will always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences about those topics or products.

The views and opinions expressed by me on this blog or any other form of social media are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

I will never be influenced by any form of compensation that I receive. I have definite opinions and and a strong integrity, which means that I will be honest in my judgment and recommendations to my readers. You can be assured that if I don't love a product or I feel there's nothing beneficial in it for my readers - I will tell you - in as nice a way as possible.
