Sermon Sunday---Songs of His Birth

Each of these songs tells a bit of the story of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ’s, birth and life…from the point of view of the people God chose to be a part of the world’s greatest story. Of course, what Mary and Joseph actually thought is unknown to us, but I think these songs do a remarkable job of conveying both the human weakness in us all, the act of giving it all to God, and the glory that comes from following God’s perfect will. I hope you enjoy these songs, and come back next Sunday for some of our favorite Christian Christmas carols.

Sermon Sunday---Songs of Praise

This Sunday I thought I'd share some favorite worship songs. I love the classic hymns, but I also enjoy some of the newer worship songs...they have a lot to teach, too. To me, the most important thing is that the focus is glorifying God and transmitting doctrine, just like the old hymns. If they do that, they can be a powerful means of spreading the Message. Enjoy!
